Making Banana Bread with Dad

Surprisingly enough with so many mouths to feed, quite often we have left over bananas.  Jaime makes the best Banana Bread and the girls have so much fun making it with him.

Adelai mashing the bananas.

Lydia working hard
as Adelai finishes up playing drums on the flour and sugar canisters.

Adelai posing for the camera

This girl is definitely not camera shy!

"Now this is a banana" -
I don't know what he was saying here but I am sure it was profound:)

So I forgot to take a picture of the final product - but believe me it was "yummy!"
I love that my family just enjoys being together and something as simple as making
Banana Bread can be an event to remember.
Jaime and these kids are definitely teaching me how to see the beautiful and amazing in the simple everyday things.

My Husband

I just love this picture!  Thanks Cassandra.

Without Jaime I wouldn't be here writing this blog.  He is the man of my dreams and my best friend.

Before we had kids he wasn't quite sure about the Daddy thing - but that all changed....

Lydia and Daddy

Once little Lydia was born, he changed from being a man to Daddy Extraordinaire.  I always knew he would be a good dad - I just didn't know he would be great!!!!

Baby Will

With each child I have seen his heart grow more and more and it seems (that is because it is the truth) that he was born for this Daddy thing.

James Alan - I am so honored to be your wife and so blessed to be raising these kids with you!

Meet the Totey's

We are the Totey's.  There started off being 2 of us almost 13 years ago and now there are 6.  Jaime and I are delighted to be the parents of 3 princesses and 1 prince.  These kids are the joy of our lives and even though we miss having full conversations we wouldn't trade it for anything.

Here we are at Mt. Rainier when Baby Will is only 3 weeks old.

Sweet Lydia Elisabeth-
She is 8 years old and a joy and delight to our hearts.

Elyanna Grace-AKA "Gracie Jones"
She is 5 1/2 and so full of life-

Adelai Susan-

Baby William James
He is 5 months old and an Amazing addition to our family.
We all love him and have been waiting for him.

These kids make our lives complete.  We love the laughter, the chatter, the singing,
the dancing and everything that comes with having 3 girls and 1 boy.

Its a New Year!

So I am going to try this blog thing, mostly because I want to be able to post pictures and stories of the everyday life of my family - my kids.  I have realized that I am slowly missing the everyday memories my family is creating.   I want to take pictures and have them perfect but in the process I am stressing my kids and myself out.   The other day I was stressed out (as can happen with 4 kids making noise at the same time) and my 3 year old - Adelai - looked at me and said "Scary."  This was a rude awakening.  I don't want to be remembered as "Scary".  I want my kids to have good memories of their mom.  I sure do.
I don't realistically think I will be able to post everyday - hopefully every week - but most importantly my kids will be able to look back, see life and see themselves grow and how much I love spending everyday with them.
